Dear Mr. Rap Man

I don't know about you all but I miss the Hip hop of the Late 80's early 90's. The story tellers of my youth. What the fuck is these idiots talking about now? It's ok to have a dance song, but it all your songs are dance songs you are NOT an MC. So, to get hip hop to where she use to be here are some guidelines:

1. I don't give a fuck what kind of car you have. I don't know and don't want to know. My hooptie gets me from point a to b with no problem.
2. I don't care how much money you make/got. In fact since you got so much Doe,You don't need my $10 I'LL download your shit for free.
3. No one cares how many bitches you fuck/bag/have what ever! All you saying is: hi, I'm a strong candidate for STDs nice to met you.Plus before I had money I couldn't get pussy.
4. Fuck your bling! Your dumb as got a house mortgage around your neck but no credit. SMH
5.Stop copying each others flows. That shit is wack- say what you gotta say your way and if it's meaningful people will feel you.
6. Stop steeling lines from movies, and t.v shows and other MCs. You know who you are!

Hip hop is poetry set to a beat not a lot of this crap the have playing on the radio now. In short I think we need a track with Fab, Jada and mr West to set these other dudes in a tizzy and get the spitting fire again.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying these are the only good rappers, I'm saying the thoughtfulness in their spit will inspire others to be more thoughtful. I have others that I feel what ever the get on be hot so it's no need to name them.

The Past is never in the past.

People never realise how much somethings that has passed Vastly effects the present and future. The cab you caught or didn't, The prince or ass whole you dated, the parent that left or you wish had left all make you who you are at any given moment in time. I was watching this video on YouTube with this guy going on and on about what someone has done to you, shouldn't affect the new relationship. That women use this as an excuse to be a certain way while men don't have that luxury. I can understand that some people will misbehave, charmed life or no; however, people's past do effect their present behaviors. Men as well as women. With that being said the past is never really the past.
Say I were a man, and I dated a women who always wanted to be out with friends. Never home. disappearing every other weekend and I later found out that this woman was sleeping around. After that break up I find someone new and one weekend she goes M.I.A.  Automatically one would assume the worst. Why? because of previous experience. Rationalization constructed from past events. To cut my losses I break up with her and later find that she wasn't being unfaithful. Maybe the girl was the one for me but I hastily left that relationship because of the one before it. It could have gone the other way. She could have been just as trashy as the one before her and I really did cut my losses. Thanks to my past I didn't blow time on someone who wasn't worth it.
Say I was a women who has a history of  sexual abuse and now I have a family of my own but I'm afraid to have my spouse alone with the children. Surely, that past manifests itself.  I may run behind my kids all the time or have a strained relationship with my spouse. The ghost of the past haunting the present.
The best of us know how to recognize when it's helping and when it's hurting and make the proper adjustments.
